Our Story
It all began in May 2015 on an online game we’ll never name (it’s way too embarrassing). Amidst all the virtual chaos, we stumbled upon something far more valuable: each other. By Halloween that year, Kiana threw caution to the wind (and her suitcase into an overhead bin) to fly to Toronto and meet the stranger who’d stolen her heart. Four whirlwind days later, it was clear: Travis wasn't a serial killer, and our connection was very real.
Thus began a 2.5-year-long-distance saga filled with late-night video calls, holiday countdowns, and too many airport goodbyes. Kiana focused on finishing university while Travis prepared for our future together in Canada. After years of patience and longing, in October 2017, we closed the gap and started our life together in a cozy apartment, ready to build our future side by side.
Our family quickly expanded with the adoption of Sage, our sassy, snarky tabby girl who rules the house with attitude. Then came Juniper, our sweet, affectionate tabby boy who insists on being involved in everything. Our apartment grew even livelier with the addition of three leopard geckos: Violet, Opal, and Lemonade, bringing even more charm to our growing family. It became a haven of love, laughter, and the occasional soundtrack of neighbours blasting questionable media through thin walls.
In February 2024, after years of searching in an impossible housing market, we finally bought our first home—a dream come true. Not long after celebrating our nine-year anniversary, Travis proposed on a sunny day in Palm Beach, Florida, with a stunning blue oyster shell (which, surprise, contained the ring!).
Nine years, countless memories, and two quirky cats later, WE are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you. Thank you for being a part of our story!
